This Taggiasca extra virgin olive oil called "MERUS"
was created through the vision and choice of Raimondo Alessio, owner and head of this olive oil house. The aim is to offer consumers a product that is unmatched in flavour and purity, while enhancing the queen of cultivars: the Taggiasca olive. The value of this extra virgin olive oil is expressed through the bold decision not to distribute it in larger formats, but only in these half-litre bottles, in order to highlight its worth, flavour, and limited production.
This precious extra virgin olive oil is cold obtained from a careful selection of the finest Taggiasca olives, milled with mastery and dedication according to the ancient art of olive pressing.Hand-harvested, our Cultivar Taggiasca extra virgin olive oil is a superior-category olive oil obtained directly and exclusively from Taggiasca olives shaken down with electric harvesters along the stony terraces of our rugged lands. The Taggiasca olives are processed quickly in order to obtain an oil of outstanding quality and incomparable flavour.
